Abstract

The objective of this paper is to critically discuss the article "La metodología de la investigación y los límites del conocimiento humano" by Felipe Martínez Rizo. As an introduction, some aspects of the discussion between quantitative and qualitative are discussed, and then we present a conception of knowledge that differentiates ontology from epistemology, specifying the scope and limits of human knowledge. Subsequently, a concept of totality constructed is addressed, concluding with the exposition of a conception of qualitative methodology as an interpretation, including its necessity, its limitations and its differences with quantitative methodology.
