A Brief View on the International Educational Context and the Need of the Teachers’ participation in a Stage of Continuous Improvement

The current international context confronts us with a global synergy that is embedded in a net of complex interactions. Those interactions affect the future predictions in all areas, including the educational. The above compels us to remain flexible as individuals and as organizations at any level to reach an adequate adaptation with the local, national, and international environment (Gershenson, 2016). In this scenario, the teachers’ role takes relevance as teachers are (with students) the main actors in education (UAA, 2007), from whom a more immediate, flexible, and creative adaptation is expected (among other skills). It is expected that the aforementioned skills allow teachers to contribute to find solutions and equitable alternatives that are inclusive and sustainable and help to address the diverse challenges present in the environment.
