About the Journal
Periodicity
Artificio ®, is a scientific journal published every six months in the form of continuous publication. Artificio publishes two issues a year, one in January-June and the other in August-December.
Approach and scope
Artificio ® (e-ISSN: 2992-7463) is a scientific journal that seeks to build, from a multidisciplinary approach, knowledge about the sciences and methods in the study of Anthropic Environments, understood as the experience, transformation and impact of the relationship between man and the environment, from perspectives such as design, urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, and others. Refereed through the double-blind system and published every six months in the form of continuous publication, Artificio publishes articles in Spanish and English, is edited by the Centro de Ciencias del Diseño and published by the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes.
Its content is aimed at researchers in the same areas and postgraduate students.
Artificio seeks to build from a multidisciplinary approach the knowledge about the sciences and methods in the study of Anthropic Environments, understood as practices, tools and processes from optics such as design, urbanism, architecture and civil engineering, and others.
The focus of Artificio continues to grow and be updated. As background we consider perspectives such as Herbert Simon's Artificial Sciences, crucial for understanding the natural and built environment and the role humans play in its development. In addition, Hanna Arendt's human condition is also necessary to understand homo faber and his ability to develop tools and transform the environment. Therefore, the anthropocene as an emerging field can be an example of new currents emerging from interdisciplinary crossings, linking perspectives such as innovation and sustainability.
The environment, from Artificio's perspective, is conceived in a broader sense, as a set of natural and artificial circumstances as well as political, social, economic and technological phenomena that involve, relate to and affect or are affected by human activities.
Artificio welcomes and publishes articles with preliminary or full research results, scientific posts, book reviews and interviews.

Peer review process
Artificio receives and publishes articles with preliminary or full research results, book reviews and interviews.
Manuscripts received will be subject to a preliminary evaluation by the members of the Scientific Committee. Once the relevance of the article to the journal has been determined, the manuscript is sent to a pair of external reviewers; the papers are submitted anonymously and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers either (double blind).
The author can make a suggestion to the editor about possible reviewers of international quality.
If the paper is accepted, the group of authors will have to authorise the statement of Assignment of Rights.
Manuscripts published in this journal are the sole responsibility of the authors.
