Women’s participation in the Mexican Revolution
Keywords:
Women, participation, Mexican Revolution, journalists, soldiersAbstract
This work explores the participation of women during the Mexican Revolution, a period of social and political transformation. Although the armed movement was led primarily by male figures, women challenged the traditional roles of the time, contributing as propagandists, journalists, nurses and soldiers. They also transgressed gender norms by acting as "soldiers" on the battlefield. Their contribution was not limited to armed struggle; they promoted civil, educational, sexual and labor rights, transforming the perception and role of women in Mexican society, which served as a basis for future feminist movements in Mexico.
